Our Life as Seniors

Allons! The road is before us!

Camerado, I give you my hand!
I give you my love more precious than money,
I give you myself before preaching or law;
Will you give me yourself? Will you come travel with me?
Shall we stick by each other as long as we live?

I love Walt Whitman poem and this is from one of my favorite poems.  I think it is fitting for many of us, retired or at least changing from our old way of life to a more relaxed but by no means less active lifestyle.

Nancy and I are 77+, active and pretty darn healthy, considering our past issues.  We discovered Road Tripping about 12 years ago and have loved traveling and hiking our way across the USA.  We weren't always this active or even capable of being this active.  When I was diagnosed with cancer (2010) and Nancy with heart disease, we thought life was over for the most part.  But after doing some research, reading, and watching many documentaries we discovered that life was NOT ending but Just the Beginning!

Together we conquered our problems.  Overweight, unhealthy, cancer and heart disease plagued us but we overcame it ALL.  How? We have several web sites that go into details and you can explore them in that box a bit more down this page.

This site (I have many) is designed to grab your interest.  Targeted at other Seniors or sons, daughters and grandchildren of seniors, we want to tell you that at 'retirement' life is truly Just Beginning!

For most of us, no more 9 to 5, no more rushing to catch that flight and grabbing junk food when we can spare a few minutes.  No, we can slow things down a bit.  Learn how to relax, calm ourselves and Explore our wonderful Country and Planet.

Late in 2018, we moved to a 'retirement community' in Central Florida.  Selling our larger home in Orlando, with pool and all that yardwork, and opting for a new place we can 'lock & leave'; one where all the maintenance was done for us, was secure and had terrific amenities.  It was also nice that it was a 'smart home' with all the latest techno-gadgets I could play with!

We have been trying to explain just how we managed to overcome our problems with Lifestylediet to anyone who would listen!  We want to inform, educate and explain how simple lifestylediet changes can help YOU maintain or regain your health.  We should all be able to enjoy this 'retirement' time unburdened with chronic disease, drugs (horrible side effects), and treatments.  Learn how to shed it all and live an Unburdened Lifestyle and restore your energy levels to your level when you were 35; no matter what your current chronological age!

On the other pages of this site,  we will try to explain and direct you to just how we did it.  How YOU can do it too. We will also tell you about some of our Road Trips.  We have explored more than 100 National and State Parks.

So explore this site and some of our others.  Enjoy and Call/Write us with Questions.

**** Please Help  ****
It costs a lot of time and money to maintain our free counseling services and our many other sites.  We live only on our slim retirement so we could use some help.  I have set up PayPal bottons to make it easy.   So, if you can find it in your hearts and pockets to provide us some help, we would REALLY appreciate the donation.  We just can't afford to continue without some help!

Afternoon Tea Party ~ Plant Based Cuisine
Tea rooms are hidden gems located in old Victorian homes or perhaps a Bed and Breakfast or Premier Hotel. Tea rooms offer an escape from the busy world around us, a day of tranquility and opportunity to spend a peaceful afternoon with family and friends. In my book you will find our tea journey begins with the “Traditional English Afternoon Tea” originated by Anna, 7th Duchess of Bedford, where afternoon tea consisted of a savory dish, baked entrées, such as scones served with clotted cream, lemon curd and fruit preserves. It is a British culinary tradition of socialites sitting down for a mid-day meal of tea and treats and also involved things like manners, lace, fancy attire and dainty foods.   Tea favorites were black teas like Earl Gray, and Assam, as well as herbal teas like Chamomile and Mint.

Very few entrées if any are completely plant-based without the addition of these ingredients. Perhaps in time menus will offer more options, but until that time I want to share my plant-based recipes for those who would like to enjoy their own afternoon tea at home. I hope you relish all the delectable recipes in this book not just for afternoon tea, but for any special occasion you may be entertaining.

Healing truly is an art as it combines many intuitive, creative and intellectual skills to achieve a state of being for a patient who is displaying symptoms of bodily/mental imbalance.  The healing process most often involves a combination of skills and that skill is seldom seen in a traditional medical practitioner’s office.  This booklet is intended to offer some insight to alternatives and awareness to help individuals accept and assume more control over their health, wellness and longevity.

Healing Series

I have been working since I was 10 years old, so much of my life is WORK. I have always loved to work. It keeps me out of trouble; mostly.

This is my story, SO FAR as I plan to continue for a long time yet. My life is with Nancy, the love of my life, and I treasure every day with her.

I have slowed down just a bit and, thankfully, don't travel on business much. I DO have many things like writing, travel and our companies that I keep busy with. I love my Health & Wellness counseling work and enjoy sharing how to stay healthy not matter how old you are. Much of age is in the mind; it is amazing how the body heals. Live Long and Prosper!
